⚡ Live prices & availability — no stale database

The domain price comparator
that won't lie to you.

A name, a keyword or an extension → we compare real prices across registrars, check availability in real time, and flag the renewal trap. Sorted cheapest first, never by commission.

Run your first comparison

Type a domain name, a simple keyword or an extension, then “Compare”.

A real comparator, not a storefront

Transparency is our product. Here is what sets us apart.

Live availability

Free or taken? We query official registries (RDAP) in real time. A TLD with no source? We mark it “undetermined” — we never guess.

The real price, premium included

Many comparators show the “base” rate. We tell base price apart from the exact name price (⭐ Premium badge) — no nasty surprise at checkout.

The renewal trap

A $1 first-year domain can cost $50 afterwards. We show year 1 AND renewal, with a clear alert.

Sorted by price, period.

Ranking follows the real price, cheapest first. “Buy” links may be affiliated, but that never changes the order.

How it works

1

You type

A name (example.com), a keyword (myidea) or an extension (.io). The right mode kicks in automatically.

2

We compare live

Availability (RDAP) + each registrar price, aggregated and sorted cheapest first.

3

You choose

Best price highlighted, savings shown, renewal visible. You click “Buy” at the registrar of your choice.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to pay the fair price.

How do I compare the price of a domain name?

Type the domain, a keyword or an extension: DomaineScan queries registrars and shows the registration price (year 1) AND renewal, sorted cheapest first.

Is the cheapest first-year price always the best?

No. Many registrars slash the first-year price then charge a much higher renewal. We show both and flag this renewal trap.

How do I know if a domain is available?

We check availability in real time via RDAP (the official registry source), with a WHOIS fallback. If the domain is taken, we suggest genuinely available alternatives.

What is a premium domain?

A premium name is priced specifically by the registry, often far above the extension's standard rate. We tell base price apart from the exact name price.

Which extension should I choose (.com, .fr, .io, .ai…)?

.com stays the trust reference, .io and .ai for tech and AI, .shop/.store for e-commerce, ccTLDs for local presence. Compare year 1 + renewal before choosing.

Is DomaineScan free?

Yes, completely free. The site is funded by affiliate links (at no extra cost to you) and advertising, never influencing the price ranking.
